Winter Stroll with the Whole Herd

I enjoyed a lovely stroll through the meadows today. When I started out, the ground was barely covered and snow was falling lightly. By the end of my walk it was coming down in big, heavy flakes. Can’t even make out their faces can you? The girls followed me around the whole time and they never gave me a chance to be lonely. Or cold. Their breath kept me warm. I’m serious, the entire herd was two steps behind me and sometimes surrounded me the whole time I was out. Cow cake does wonders to make them like us.
I’ll have more snowy scenes for you tomorrow. Stay warm friends!

I like the photo. I dread when the snow comes but it can make for some nice photos.

Wonderful photo Leah – looks like inside one of those snow globes and a bonus with the cows!

Loved picture and post but especially the phrase “Their breath kept me warm.” Very very sweet, even if cow-cake induced affection 🙂
btw I’m a vegetarian too and was delighted when the new leasing farmer on my land in TX chose to use it for her breeding heifers and mares…so now it’s a “nursery”!

Wonderful shot Leah. Do you feel like the pied piper of cows?

Hmmm.. “The Girls Stick Together”!! Love the photo and warmth…I’m sure they weren’t to happy last night falling below “zero degrees”.. Stay warm and safe!

This is beautifully captured. Sometimes I think about what a huge change Wyoming is from where you used to live, and what it must be like for you to adjust to such a different landscape. Clearly you love it and have adjusted well! It would be interesting to see photos you took exactly two (?) years ago on the same day, in your old location, juxtaposed against current photos. Maybe an idea?
