Matilda had a bladder infection a couple weeks ago. It was very tough on her because she is so old. I thought I lost her actually. But I noticed it right away and got her in to the vet first thing the next morning. Poor girl. After two weeks of antibiotics, she has perked up and is back to her ornery self.
This image depicts those two weeks. Tilda in her soft kitty bed with extra blankets by the fire; pretty much her go-to spot these days.

Sweet baby! Fitzy is on special food for his kidneys, so I understand the fear of kidney infections! Good thing our animals are so loved! 🙂 Miss you!

Awe Fitzy!!! Matilda had hyperthyroidism so she’s on every day meds. And I think this and her age makes it hard for her body to fight. Sweet old girl…. Hope you get to feeling better too Amanda! I miss you too!

We had three cats. They were a joy to us all. Unfortunately like any living thing, they died.
When I see the picture of Matilda I think about our three cats.

Love that song from BBT:) Poor kitty cat and it is always hard to deal with a medical emergency for a pet, especially an older pet. Take Care Tilda – Happy Tuesday!

Thanks friend! You wouldn’t believe she was sickly looking at her now! She gave her momma quite a scare though!! You think you are prepared for the worst but you never are. Ugh.

Sorry to hear about her infection and I’m really glad that she’s feeling better now! Despite being an older cat, she seems to be a rather tough and strong lady.

    Best wishes!

She’s a beautiful girl 🙂 Glad she is feeling better. I have an ‘old’ boy the same color and he’s a delight. I enjoy your Tuesday Tilda’s.

Such a sweetie. Glad you noticed in time. The old ones are hardier than you think sometimes. And smart enough to claim the primo warming location.

Sure glad Tilda is better. I enjoyed your opening line as my family enjoys that show. She looks all snuggled in and warm where you have her.

We are so very blessed that these magnificent creatures bless our lives. My 2 kitties, Hercules and Athena teach me and love me every single day! Does it get better than that :)? Your Tilda is so beautiful.

Poor girl, I’m glad she is doing better. I like the word “ornery”. In fact, I had never heard it before and had to look it up. 😉 I need to take our cat to the vet this week, for the annual check-up and shots. He will not appreciate that, I’m sure, especially the car ride to the vet’s office. But what can I do, “Beam the kitty up” has not been invented yet, unfortunately.
