Snow Covered Hills

We’ve been under a blanket of snow for the past couple of days. I’ve tagged along in the tractor (that is now working) with Patrick to the top of the hill to get bales of hay for the cows. Up top is one of the best views of the entire place. It was pretty cloudy on this particular day and I love how there is a little blue sky peeking through at the top left.

      Thanks Jean! -but far from lonely. It’s a beautiful sight during my hikes, coming home, and doing chores. I live way down there in the middle of the pic and am surrounded by horses, hounds, my Honey, and my kitty. Never a dull moment! 🙂

    Dear Leah: THANK YOU SO MUCH for bringing the views of home to my computer! It has been years since I experienced a Wyoming Winter Scene but the beauty never pales. Although we sometimes have Wyoming-style winds here, Deep East Texas, for all the stands of pine trees, does not do winter well at all. That is fortunate, however, because a heavy winter would not be appropriate for this area! We did get down to 34 this morning, but by now must be back up in the 40s.
    I eagerly look forward to each of your messages because I know each will contain beauty for the eye and the heart and, through your eyes, I can experience the seasonal changes, changes that are not very distinct here in the Piney Woods! We have redbuds and dogwoods beginning to bloom – those you know from your own Southern Roots.

      Thank you! Yes, what a relief…the cows and horses need fed and we need the tractor for that. I sure can’t lift those bales!
