The Sun Shines Even on the Coldest Days
It’s been quite wintry here in the new year. Not bleak or dreary, just cold. I shot this after carrying up one wagon load of wood. It was so quiet except for the occasional moo from the cattle down in the meadow and the crunch of snow under my boots. I am thankful for a warm home and that the sun shines even on the coldest days.
Clouds Over Cows
“Life would be dull if we had to look up at cloudless monotony day after day.”-Gavin Pretor-Pinney
We’re still here… underneath cloudy skies and rain. We haven’t floated away yet. Water is standing everywhere we step and the cows have muddy snouts. They are loving the abundance of green grass. Happy cows. Happy ranch. 🙂
Gritty
Even though our surroundings are in full fall color right now, today seemed like a gritty black and white photo kind of day. I’m inside processing shoots but will soon return to the colorful leaves of autumn and share those with you soon. Cheers!
Winter Grayscale
The winter blahs are taking hold. Every thing outside is gray and cold.
Snow is packed so tight in the drifts that there are ripples and dents like wet sand at the beach.
And a small collection of black and white images can’t be complete without a visit from Kate with snow on her snout.
We have fresh snow falling this morning but it doesn’t look as though we’ll have the below zero temps like last week. Hopefully the cowcicle episode will not occur again…this winter at least.
