Is the bottom photo of an eagle? It looks to have a longer tail (or extended legs). They are tough to get. We don’t have many around here to that makes it even harder!
But what’s wonderful about not getting as close as you wanted and the first photo, is that it shows the vastness they inhabit. Around here, they’re easier to see – they don’t spook that easily – but you don’t get this perspective, with all that land around them. Very nice.
Thank you. You’re right, it is pretty neat to see the vastness. They have A LOT of space to hunt out here. I saw a picture recently on facebook with an eagle’s nest on a power pole. Pretty unfortunate.
I know where there is 4 eagles nest within 45 minutes of my home. I have the same problem you have on getting close enough to them to get a descent photograph.

Love the pics. Every time I’ve caught them lately, I’ve been driving and without my camera! Great catch!

They are just hanging out! on that tree branch, saying “Hey Joe, seen any little chicks lately?” HA 🙂

They only make close-up appearances once, and well – you had your close-up. (smile)
Your pictures are still wonderful, Leah
