Sharing
This was a big hit on my facebook page last night and I thought I shouldn’t leave you out of the loop. After all, Mamma taught me to always share.
It was overcast most of yesterday, you know, one of those sleepy kind of days. I forced myself to go out for a hike and then the sun came out late afternoon. After a while of photographing dry and dormant flowering weeds left over from the summer, I came in to start dinner. I looked out of the window and everything looked pink. The grass, the fence, the trees. Pink. So I ran out of the front door and found myself literally chasing light. Once I was in the back of the house, there it was. Hovering over Squaw Mountain was a gorgeous masterpiece painted only by the heavens above.
WOW – Breathtaking!!! Thanks for sharing – Have a Great One:)

Leah, when I was a child I had a little golden book that was about the bunnies at Easter. The patriarch of the family was Great Grampa BunnyBunny. When it was time for him to die, he wandered off into the sunset and from that day on, everyone in Bunnyville thought that an especially beautiful sunset was Great Grampa BunnyBunny, painting the sky with his Easter egg paints. This was way more than half a century ago, mind you. But I’ve never forgotten it. My kids never even saw the book, but they’ve been acquainted with GGBB since they were old enough to see the colors in the evening sky. Today, my daughter is approaching the half century mark herself, but she often calls to tell me to look out my window because there’s a great sunset. And sunset was my son’s favorite time of day.

Suzy, I have been collecting Little Golden Books for almost 20 years and do not recall ever seeing this
one; would you happen to remember the name of the book? Very curious! Love the sunset pic, too. It’s
amazing, Leah! Have a great weekend, all!
