Finch or sparrow? Or something else? I’m not the best at naming birds but I thought this was a pretty scene.

Happy Tuesday!

I wish I was better with my bird-identifying skills! Named or not, this little guy is the star of a beautiful photo. Thanks for sharing, as always 🙂

I really like this shot. It is so simple but beautiful. I like how Alice compared it to a staff of music! If the bird is a little bigger, I would guess it could be a Western Kingbird ( http://birdweb.org/birdweb/bird/western_kingbird ). However, on closer look I’m not so sure! No matter what, thank you for sharing.

It is pretty, simple and peaceful too. Your North American birds all look so exotic to me but I’d go with a finch rather than a sparrow because finches around here tend to have some colour and sparrows, to quote Professor Higgins, are brown, brown, brown. I find that the hardest part of photography, working out what it is exactly in my shot! 🙂

Beautiful shot – I love how it’s framed, and the scene is simply peaceful!
