I think you have it wrong Leah…. the bright yellow and black one is the male. He’s probably telling his little wife that the girl on the branch above is only a casual acquaintance he met while migrating.

Jean is right. In Bird Land, males are the brightly colored ones. 🙂 The females tend to have duller colors, because they don’t do any of the attracting. Easy life, huh?
