Just Call Me Zippy
Ever feel like this? You run as hard as you can, but you just can’t get everything done in time?
No?
Me neither.
Ha!
I just wanted to check in with you because it’s been a few days since I’ve posted. We are getting the ranch ready for winter and there has been a lot on our To Do lists lately.
I hope you are well and I’ll be back soon with images of the summer>fall>winter transition. I’ve heard that if you blink, autumn will zip right past you. But last year was gorgeous so here’s hoping for two in a row.
See you soon,
Leah
Cute!!

Not only can he run, this pooch looks like he could fly with those magnificent ears!
Good luck with the winter preparations even though it seems too early to be thinking of that yet.

Thanks Judy! When he runs, you’d think he was flying! He has 8 other siblings and they are fast and wild, just like this. 🙂

I was just thinking yesterday…Now what is that darling Leah Yetter up to these days? Must be a busy ranch time.
So what are some of the to-do’s? Getting lots of feed in the barns? We’ve had a few frosts already, but not heavy enough to be the vicious flower-killing sort.

I know! You’ve probably been worried sick! Winter preparation consists of weaning calves and scheduling trucks to take them to pasture separate from their mothers. Scheduling cowboys to trail the mother cows home to winter here. Straw the dog houses, stack hay, winterize the bunkhouse so we don’t have frozen pipes, you know the usual. We had our first frost a couple mornings ago and so far, it is gorgeous! I LOVE this time of year. 🙂
