All Yellow

Posted in Nature, Photography by leahyetter on July 22, 2011

Nothing much to report on here…it’s warm and it’s hay season. So Patrick is cutting, raking, and bailing hay while me and the dragonflies are fluttering around the ranch enjoying the summer temps.  I photographed a blue dragonfly last summer and am excited to see a lot of yellow ones this year.

Happy Friday everyone. See you next week!

How did you get this great picture! I always marvel at these types of pictures and the patience it must take to get something like this.

Well Katie, there are so many of these little guys and one is bound to land and pose for me. They aren’t very skiddish at all and hang out on my front porch. But I did spend a good amount of time getting my focus right on this guy.
Thanks for stopping by! Nice to hear from you again!

Thanks Vickie! I got a shot yesterday of one with the sun back-lighting the wings and they really glistened then, but I couldn’t get him in focus before he flew off.
