Leaves of Gold

Posted in Nature, Photography by leahyetter on October 2, 2010

I found gold in the Laramie River.

Was walking along and a sparkle caught my eye.

There in the river lay..

..a Cottonwood bouquet!

Nature’s first green is gold / her hardest hue to hold / her early leaf’s a flower / but only so an hour / so leaf subsides to leaf / So Eden sank to grief / so dawn goes down to day / nothing gold can stay.

These leaves under the water are just so beautiful. Great eye!
