I’ve fed my share of baby calves, and I loved every minute of it. Those were fun times. My aunt put some kind of vitamin supplement in the milk, though, and boy, did it stink! The calves can be pretty demanding, too, and I’ve been head butted more than once. Thanks for posting the pictures; I enjoyed my stroll down memory lane that they inspired. Good luck with your baby, by the way!

I love these photos! I grew up in the country. My grandfather had a ranch and there I watched the birth of many calves. Growing up with animals and respecting their lives made me become a vegetarian.

Those little teeth are sharp! He’s not taking the bottle very well and trying to get the nipple in his mouth has been a chore!
